Why learn English and other languages?
Every language you learn is a new way to study, work and meet people. Here is why it is worth it.
Your career
Most scientific articles, software, manuals and professional courses are in English. You will read them, and later write them.
The world
English connects people from very different countries. Other languages (French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Chinese…) open even more doors.
Scholarships
Many exchanges and scholarships ask for an English level based on the CEFR. A1 is your first step.
Your brain
Learning languages improves memory, attention and how you understand your own language.
People
Talk with visitors, colleagues and friends; share Honduran culture with the world.
Step by step
English I, II and III complete A1. Every lesson builds on the one before.
Your path at UNAH
- English IA1.1 · who I am, my people, my day
- English IIA1.2 · my city, a place to stay, shopping
- English IIIA1.3 · food, health, travel, my future job
Each course reuses what you made in the previous one: your career program, your glossary and your videos become your A1 portfolio.
The Department of Foreign Languages also teaches other languages. Ask about the current offer in your faculty or at the Department.
