Assignment: My First Interview: career-focused role-play video
Activity 44 · 6%Unit project
Unit IV video (3 min): a job interview role-play for your career. Answer 5 questions with present, past and future.
Also include: 1 element of your career · 1 cultural comparison with Honduras about Honda Celebration of Light · your Source card.
Reuse your plans (Act. 36) and your CV (Act. 40).
Your A1 portfolio is complete: career program, glossary, CV and interview. It is the starting point for A2.
Model
Script · Interviewer: Why do you want this job? · Me: Because I love working with children. · Interviewer: What did you do last year? · Me: I volunteered at a library. · Interviewer: Where do you see yourself in five years? · Me: I'm going to lead a team of nurses.
A model, not a template: your product is about you, your career and your own sources.
Learn before you do it
What a good product has
- Hello (10 seconds): greet and say your name and career.
- Body (most of the time): what the task asks for, using your earlier products.
- Career and culture (20 seconds): one detail of your career and one comparison with Honduras.
- Goodbye (10 seconds): a polite farewell.
- Speak, don't read: you can use notes, but look at the camera.
The language you need · Interview: present, past and future
Present: Tell me about yourself. Past: What did you do in your last job? Future: Where are you going to be in five years? Skills: What can you do?
- Why do you want this job? — Because I love working with children.
- I organized a science fair in 2025.
- In five years I'm going to lead a team.
Need more? Review the URA and SofIA and the H5P class of this lesson.
Your career in this assignment
Write about your career (its exact name in the UNAH Oferta Académica). Choose the example of your area and change it:
- Health sciences: I did my practice at Hospital Escuela. I'm going to work in rural areas.
- Engineering & technology: I developed an app for my class. I'm going to work as a software engineer.
- Business & economics: I can analyze data. In five years I'm going to open my business.
- Education, humanities & communication: I taught English to children. I'm going to be a teacher.
- Environment, agriculture & tourism: I worked in a recycling campaign. I'm going to work for a national park.
Use 3 words of your career glossary.
Cultural connection · II PAC
Event of this week: Honda Celebration of Light (Late July (3 nights)). See it in your II PAC Cultural Passport.
Your cultural mission: The Celebration of Light needs volunteers. Prepare 4 answers for a volunteer interview.
Mirror Honduras: When are there fireworks in Honduras? Compare them with the Celebration of Light.
Include one comparison between Canada and Honduras: one similarity and one difference.
Be respectful: say «In my experience…» or «In my city…», not «All Americans…» or «All Hondurans…». Need ideas? Ask SofIA Cultural.
Tools and tutorials
Step by step
- Collect your earlier products (list above). Your video joins them.
- Write your script on your own (3 minutes). Use the model only as a guide.
- Ask SofIA for ideas or pronunciation tips, never for the script itself (AI level 1).
- Practice aloud 3 times. Check the «I can…» list below.
- Record and watch it once. Upload it to YouTube as Unlisted (see below).
- Submit on the UNAH Virtual Campus: the YouTube link + your script + Source card.
How to submit your product
Video · YouTube (Unlisted)
- Record with your phone or computer. Quiet place, good light, show your face. No personal data.
- Open the YouTube app or YouTube Studio and upload the video.
- Visibility: Unlisted (only people with the link can see it). Audience: No, it's not made for kids.
- Copy the link. On the UNAH Virtual Campus, open the assignment, click Add submission, paste the link and your script in the text box, and Save changes.
Sube el video a YouTube como «No listado» y pega el enlace en el Campus. No subas el video al Campus: son miles de estudiantes y el servidor se recarga.
Always add your Source card and, if you used SofIA, your prompt and the chat link. Check that every link opens in a private window before you submit.
Career program (transversal project)
Final version of your career program: profile, subjects, goals and glossary.
Add it to your career program file. It grows in every lesson.
Source card
Find your own reliable source (official, professional or university site of Canada). These are examples. Write: name of the site, link, country, type of site, why it is reliable and what you learned.

Rubric · 20 points = 6%
Language counts double. Your teacher uses this rubric on the UNAH Virtual Campus.
| Criterion | 4 · Excellent | 3 · Good | 2 · Developing | 1 · Beginning |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Language 8 pts | 8 pts Uses the language of the lesson (Interview: present, past and future) and its vocabulary correctly; 3 minutes; clear pronunciation and natural pace. | 6 pts Few errors that do not stop communication; the length is almost complete. | 4 pts Several errors; part of the message is not clear, or the product is short. | 2 pts Many errors; the lesson's language is not used, or most is in Spanish. |
| Process and use of AI 4 pts | 4 pts Draft and script + SofIA prompt and chat link (if AI was used); the YouTube link (Unlisted) opens and the script is attached; the final product is clearly your own (AI level 1). | 3 pts Evidence or format partly incomplete. | 2 pts Little evidence of your own process, or a link does not open. | 1 pt No evidence, or the AI produced the work. |
| Career and culture 4 pts | 4 pts Includes an element of your career and a respectful comparison between the course country and Honduras. | 3 pts Includes your career or the comparison, not both. | 2 pts General content; weak link with career or culture. | 1 pt Not related to your career or to culture. |
| Autonomy and originality 4 pts | 4 pts Reuses and improves Act. 36, Act. 40; original and personal; complete Source card. | 3 pts Original, but reuse or Source card is partial. | 2 pts Very close to the model; no Source card. | 1 pt Copied or not personal. |
| Total | 20 points = 6% of your final grade (Activity 44). 0 points if not submitted. | |||
How your points become your grade: 20/20 pts = 6% · 15/20 pts = 4.5% · 10/20 pts = 3% · 5/20 pts = 1.5%.
Competency reached: 13/20 points (65/100) or more. Competency-based grading scale
Your result, two ways
Your teacher decides which one the course uses. Pass mark: 65 %.
1 · Percentage (summative)
your rubric points × 5 (20 points = 100) × the weight of the activity.
Example: 70 % in this activity (6 %) = 4.2 % of your final grade.
2 · Competency level
- 0–39 N1 · not reached
- 40–54 N2 · partly reached
- 55–64 N3 · almost reached
- 65–79 N4 · competency reached
- 80–89 N5 · reached with distinction
- 90–94 N6 · excellence
- 95–100 N7 · outstanding
Doble calificación: porcentaje sumativo (nota × peso) o nivel de competencia (aprobación con 65). El docente decide cuál usar. Escala completa
I can…
Academic integrity and AI
Your work must be yours. Follow LÍDER: 1 try first on your own · 2 ask SofIA for hints · 3 verify · 4 produce your own version · 5 be ready to explain it without AI. When the assignment allows AI, submit your prompt and the chat link as evidence of your process.
Create your own learning resource for Lesson 12
A comic strip, a labelled picture, flashcards, a grammar chart… You choose what to learn and how, SofIA helps you prepare it, and you print it (Letter size) or save it as PDF.
Elige qué aprender y cómo; SofIA te ayuda a prepararlo y tú lo imprimes en tamaño carta o lo guardas en PDF.
