Assignment: Product card for an online catalog
Activity 40 · 3%Your product
Create a product card for an online catalog: a product for your career, 5 features, 2 comparisons and a price in pounds.
Also include: 1 element of your career · 1 cultural comparison with Honduras about National Eisteddfod of Wales · your Source card.
Reuse one product of your shopping list (Act. 36).
- Activity 36 · Shopping list for my work outfit (Lesson 10)
In your Unit IV video (Act. 44) you buy products at a store.
Model
Digital stethoscope · £60 · light, strong, easy to clean · It's lighter than a classic stethoscope. It's the best option for students.
A model, not a template: your product is about you, your career and your own sources.
Learn before you do it
What a good product has
- Title big and clear, with your name.
- 4–6 blocks of information, one idea per block, short sentences in English.
- Images that explain the text (free elements or your own photos), not decoration only.
- One block for your career and one for the comparison with Honduras.
- Source card at the end (small text).
The language you need · Describing and comparing products
Describe: It's made of… · It's light / heavy / comfortable. Compare: lighter than · the most comfortable. too + adjective = more than you want.
- This backpack is the most comfortable.
- The red one is cheaper, but the black one is better.
- It's made of cotton.

Your career in this assignment
Write about your career (its exact name in the UNAH Oferta Académica). Choose the example of your area and change it:
- Health sciences: This stethoscope is lighter and the best for students.
- Engineering & technology: This laptop is the fastest, but it's too expensive.
- Business & economics: This calculator is cheaper than the other one.
- Education, humanities & communication: This microphone is the best for podcasts.
- Environment, agriculture & tourism: This bottle is made of recycled plastic.
Use 3 words of your career glossary.
Cultural connection · II PAC
Event of this week: National Eisteddfod of Wales (Early August). See it in your II PAC Cultural Passport.
Your cultural mission: Welsh crafts at the Eisteddfod: describe a product: material, size, colour.
Mirror Honduras: Which festival in Honduras keeps a language or culture alive? (For example, Garífuna festivals.)
Include one comparison between the United Kingdom and Honduras: one similarity and one difference.
Be respectful: say «In my experience…» or «In my city…», not «All Americans…» or «All Hondurans…». Need ideas? Ask SofIA Cultural.

Rubric · 20 points = 3%
Language counts double. Your teacher uses this rubric on the UNAH Virtual Campus.
| Criterion | 4 · Excellent | 3 · Good | 2 · Developing | 1 · Beginning |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Language 8 pts | 8 pts Uses the language of the lesson (Describing and comparing products) and its vocabulary correctly; a product card: 5 features, 2 comparisons, price. | 6 pts Few errors that do not stop communication; the length is almost complete. | 4 pts Several errors; part of the message is not clear, or the product is short. | 2 pts Many errors; the lesson's language is not used, or most is in Spanish. |
| Process and use of AI 4 pts | 4 pts Draft + SofIA prompt and chat link (if AI was used); the Canva (or PowerPoint / Google Slides) link opens and the PDF is attached; the final product is clearly your own (AI level 2). | 3 pts Evidence or format partly incomplete. | 2 pts Little evidence of your own process, or a link does not open. | 1 pt No evidence, or the AI produced the work. |
| Career and culture 4 pts | 4 pts Includes an element of your career and a respectful comparison between the course country and Honduras. | 3 pts Includes your career or the comparison, not both. | 2 pts General content; weak link with career or culture. | 1 pt Not related to your career or to culture. |
| Autonomy and originality 4 pts | 4 pts Reuses and improves Act. 36; original and personal; complete Source card. | 3 pts Original, but reuse or Source card is partial. | 2 pts Very close to the model; no Source card. | 1 pt Copied or not personal. |
| Total | 20 points = 3% of your final grade (Activity 40). 0 points if not submitted. | |||
How your points become your grade: 20/20 pts = 3% · 15/20 pts = 2.25% · 10/20 pts = 1.5% · 5/20 pts = 0.75%.
Competency reached: 13/20 points (65/100) or more. Competency-based grading scale
Your result, two ways
Your teacher decides which one the course uses. Pass mark: 65 %.
1 · Percentage (summative)
your rubric points × 5 (20 points = 100) × the weight of the activity.
Example: 70 % in this activity (3 %) = 2.1 % of your final grade.
2 · Competency level
- 0–39 N1 · not reached
- 40–54 N2 · partly reached
- 55–64 N3 · almost reached
- 65–79 N4 · competency reached
- 80–89 N5 · reached with distinction
- 90–94 N6 · excellence
- 95–100 N7 · outstanding
Doble calificación: porcentaje sumativo (nota × peso) o nivel de competencia (aprobación con 65). El docente decide cuál usar. Escala completa
