Assignment: My Typical Day — video

Activity 45 · 9%
What you bring
From the H5P: the mistakes you corrected. Now you use the rule alone to create something that is yours.
What this prepares you for
Your final video describes your typical day. In English II you place that day in real spaces: where things are on campus and in the city (there is / there are, prepositions).
Video2–3 minutesLevel 1 · AI only for ideasUnit project

Unit project

Final video (2–3 min): your typical day with connectors, times, frequency adverbs and 1 sentence about your career.

Also include: 1 element of your career · 1 cultural comparison with Honduras about an event of your II PAC Cultural Passport · your Source card.

Builds on your earlier work

Reuse your glossary (Act. 37), your planner (Act. 41) and your career program.

Leads to

English II, Lesson 1: you place your day in real places (Act. 3, Mapping my campus).

Model

Script · First, I get up at 5:30. Then I take the bus to UNAH. I usually have classes in the morning. After that, I study at the library. I always help my family on Saturdays. Finally, I go to bed at 10. In the future, I want to be a nurse.

A model, not a template: your product is about you, your career and your own sources.

Learn before you do it

What a good product has

  1. Hello (10 seconds): greet and say your name and career.
  2. Body (most of the time): what the task asks for, using your earlier products.
  3. Career and culture (20 seconds): one detail of your career and one comparison with Honduras.
  4. Goodbye (10 seconds): a polite farewell.
  5. Speak, don't read: you can use notes, but look at the camera.

The language you need · Sequence connectors

First, … Then, … After that, … Finally, … + present simple.

  • First, I have breakfast.
  • After that, she goes to the lab.
  • Finally, we go home.

Need more? Review the URA and SofIA and the H5P class of this lesson.

Your career in this assignment

Write about your career (its exact name in the UNAH Oferta Académica). Choose the example of your area and change it:

  • Health sciences: First, I go to the clinic. Then, I check patients. Finally, I write reports.
  • Engineering & technology: First, I check the system. Then, I write code. Finally, I test it.
  • Business & economics: First, I read emails. After that, I meet clients. Finally, I make a report.
  • Education, humanities & communication: First, I read the news. Then, I write. Finally, I publish my post.
  • Environment, agriculture & tourism: First, I visit the farm. Then, I check the plants. Finally, I write notes.

Use 3 words of your career glossary.

Cultural connection · II PAC

Event of this week: Choose one event of your II PAC Cultural Passport.

Your cultural mission: Passport review: choose your favorite U.S. celebration of this term. Add it to your typical day: «On… I…».

Include one comparison between the U.S. and Honduras: one similarity and one difference.

Be respectful: say «In my experience…» or «In my city…», not «All Americans…» or «All Hondurans…». Need ideas? Ask SofIA Cultural.

Tools and tutorials

Step by step

  1. Collect your earlier products (list above). Your video joins them.
  2. Write your script on your own (2–3 minutes). Use the model only as a guide.
  3. Ask SofIA for ideas or pronunciation tips, never for the script itself (AI level 1).
  4. Practice aloud 3 times. Check the «I can…» list below.
  5. Record and watch it once. Upload it to YouTube as Unlisted (see below).
  6. Submit on the UNAH Virtual Campus: the YouTube link + your script + Source card.

How to submit your product

Video · YouTube (Unlisted)

  1. Record with your phone or computer. Quiet place, good light, show your face. No personal data.
  2. Open the YouTube app or YouTube Studio and upload the video.
  3. Visibility: Unlisted (only people with the link can see it). Audience: No, it's not made for kids.
  4. Copy the link. On the UNAH Virtual Campus, open the assignment, click Add submission, paste the link and your script in the text box, and Save changes.

Sube el video a YouTube como «No listado» y pega el enlace en el Campus. No subas el video al Campus: son miles de estudiantes y el servidor se recarga.

Always add your Source card and, if you used SofIA, your prompt and the chat link. Check that every link opens in a private window before you submit.

Career program (transversal project)

Final version of your career program: title, 5 subjects, glossary of 20 words.

Add it to your career program file. It grows in every lesson.

Source card

Choose one link of your area from this list. Write: name of the site, link, country, type of site, why it is reliable and what you learned.

Ficha de fuente: en Inglés I eliges un enlace de la lista. Copia la ficha y pégala en tu entrega.

Total20 points = 9% of your final grade (Activity 45). 0 points if not submitted.

How your points become your grade: 20/20 pts = 9% · 15/20 pts = 6.75% · 10/20 pts = 4.5% · 5/20 pts = 2.25%.

Competency reached: 13/20 points (65/100) or more. Competency-based grading scale

Your result, two ways

Your teacher decides which one the course uses. Pass mark: 65 %.

1 · Percentage (summative)

your rubric points × 5 (20 points = 100) × the weight of the activity.
Example: 70 % in this activity (9 %) = 6.3 % of your final grade.

2 · Competency level

  • 0–39 N1 · not reached
  • 40–54 N2 · partly reached
  • 55–64 N3 · almost reached
  • 65–79 N4 · competency reached
  • 80–89 N5 · reached with distinction
  • 90–94 N6 · excellence
  • 95–100 N7 · outstanding

Doble calificación: porcentaje sumativo (nota × peso) o nivel de competencia (aprobación con 65). El docente decide cuál usar. Escala completa
